About 15 years ago he had some ideas about how 3D photographs could be created and viewed without glasses (autostereoscopic) but computers were not powerful enough to realize his vision. About 2 years ago, computer and digital camera technology finally reached a performance level to make his ideas possible. Early results with prototype camera systems made it clear that to pursue development of 3D would require a full on exclusive effort. This made it necessary to close down all other operations and services. In March, 2009 Almont Green will move to Medway Mill into a studio designed for autostereoscopic 3D photography.
